Famous Coleslaw salad is of American origin. It means shredded cabbage – so simple is the name of salad that became popular all over the world. A special sauce makes a main ingredient, white cabbage, particularly juicy and fresh vegetables, carrot and celery, adds a unique taste. <br /><br />✅ Ingredients:<br />• white cabbage – 18 oz /500 g <br />• onion – 2 oz /50 g <br />• carrot – 3 oz /100 g <br />• mayonnaise – 4 tbsp <br />• celery stalk – 1 oz /35 g <br />• sugar – 2 tbsp <br />• milk – 1 fl oz /25 ml <br />• lemon juice – 4 tbsp <br />• horseradish – 1 tsp <br />• salt – ½ tsp <br />• ground black pepper – ½ tsp <br /><br />✅ You will need:<br />• carving board <br />• 2 bowls <br />• grater <br /><br /> Preparation: <br />1. Shred the cabbage. <br />2. Cut the onion and celery into thin half rings. <br />3. Grate the carrot coarsely. <br />4. In a bowl combine the mayonnaise, sugar, salt, horseradish, black pepper, lemon juice and milk until smooth. <br />5. Toss the white cabbage, onion and carrot. <br />6. Add the prepared sauce to the veggies and toss well. <br />7. Put into a refrigerator for 20 minutes. The cole slaw salad is ready. <br />Advices: <br />1. Better to use young white cabbage. <br />2. It is acceptable to combine white and red cabbage – then a salad becomes even healthier as red cabbage contains more of calcium, iron and vitamin C.
